Welcome to the World Tennis Awards

Sport is enjoyed by millions of people across the globe, as participants or spectators. A special few excel and reach the very pinnacle of their chosen sport, admired by their peers and the lesser mortals who can only watch and marvel at the individual skill and talent. There also exists another special breed who write or broadcast with passion, who criticise, cajole, eulogise, analyse and compare, bringing an understanding and depth to the achievements of sportsmen and women. These are the Sports Journalists.

A new stable of annual Sport Awards, powered by World Sports Net, has been created to pay a special tribute to the leading sportsmen and women of the day in a variety of sports. The winners of these awards are decided by nominations and votes of the 10,500 members of The International Sports Press Association (AIPS).  The awards will be presented to the winners during premier events in each sport throughout the sporting calendar.
